About The Americana Coast

My wife Kristi and I moved to El Porto, CA from Nashville in the summer of 2024 to start the next chapter of our lives and now we're sharing our experiences with you! El Porto has a long history of being a haven of the free spirited. Before it was annexed by Manhattan Beach in 1980, El Porto was home to musicians, artists, surfers, poets, and not surprisingly, an open drug scene. While it may have lost some of its "lawlessness" in 1980, the laid back surf community vibe remains to this day and we absolutely love it.  - Bill Fiilpiak
